The Durham Fire Department reacted to a trailer fire on Monday morning in the 700 block of Carter Avenue, which is situated close to Angier Avenue and Interstate 885. When the first unit arrived, they encountered a single-story trailer engulfed in flames and smoke. A total of 42 firefighters were present to battle the blaze, which took them about 18 minutes to control. According to officials, the trailer was unoccupied at the time of the fire. An inquiry is underway to uncover the origin of the fire.
