A family, which included a baby and toddler, was in their Sanford home when it was struck by a large tree during a storm on Friday. The incident occurred at around 9 a.m. on Alcott and 3rd Streets in Sanford. Victoria Sepulveda, who lived in the house, was able to leave during the ordeal and asked for help. However, three people were trapped inside the house and needed rescue assistance from the firefighters. The only surviving rooms are the bathroom and one bedroom. Sepulveda and one other person were taken to the hospital but were later released. The Red Cross is now providing support to the family.
