According to troopers, the second motorcycle accident on I-440 was due to a pursuit and culminated in an arrest.


A State Highway Patrol officer reported that a motorcyclist was arrested after a chase and subsequent wreck on Tuesday night in Raleigh; CBS 17 confirmed. After pursuit from a state trooper, the motorcyclist crashed on the Glenwood Avenue ramp. The motorcyclist was arrested immediately after. This wreck occurred at the same time as a deadly motorcycle accident in Raleigh, about five miles away, where Sean Floyd Laisure of Raleigh died after hitting a guardrail near the Capital Boulevard exit on I-440 west. The officials from the State Highway Patrol have not released any information about the cause of the chase or the biker’s identity as of yet.
