A volcano has erupted in the Far East region of Russia, leading to the towns being completely covered in ash.


Officials have reported that ash plumes from a volcanic eruption in Russia’s Far East have reached heights of up to 10 kilometers (6.2 miles), resulting in nearby towns being blanketed in thick layers of ash. This poses a potential danger to both local and international air traffic.
