The search is on for a puppy named “Meatball” after his owners reported that he was inside a car that was stolen. “Meatball” is a pocket bully, aptly named according to his owners. Kyle Rottenkolber and Zachary Kochel described him as looking like a “meatball with little legs” and often accompanied the two friends everywhere they went. On March 30th, in the wee hours of the morning, the two men encountered someone who asked them for a ride while “Meatball” was inside the car. After stopping in a parking lot on New Bern Avenue, near Calumet Drive in Raleigh, Rottenkolber and Kochel stepped away from the car to talk to some people. When they returned, the car and “Meatball” were gone. The two men have filed a report with Raleigh Police and have searched the area where the car was taken with no luck. They have also called Wake County Animal Services and posted about the missing dog on social media. Desperate for any information, Rottenkolber and Kochel are offering a reward to anyone who finds “Meatball” and urged people to keep an eye out for the snoring and friendly little dog.
