According to authorities, two students were expelled from a school in Rocky Mount due to making threats.


Two students were removed from their classroom at New Life Christian Academy in Rocky Mount, North Carolina on Wednesday after allegedly communicating threats of mass violence. After being interviewed, the juveniles were immediately expelled for the remainder of the year. According to a joint statement released by the academy and the Rocky Mount police department, the first responder was a school resource officer. On Thursday, the RMPD officers along with juvenile court services charged both students on juvenile petitions for communicating a threat of mass violence on educational property. In response to the incident, New Life Christian Academy officials issued a statement saying, “Our thoughts and prayers are with all those involved.”
